Home - Camp Big Sky

November 2025: Live A Life Like Any Other 

Camp Big Sky used the $25,000 Inspire Grant from Impact Central Illinois to install an elevator lift and complete the lower level of their Learning Center and Lodge, significantly improving accessibility for individuals with disabilities. These enhancements will double their capacity for education programs and expand opportunities for inclusive learning and overnight stays.

November 2025: Safe Families Volunteer Coordinator 

Safe Families for Children Peoria/Bloomington used their Impact Central Illinois grant to hire a church engagement coordinator, greatly expanding their volunteer and community outreach. With her help, they onboarded 41 volunteers, partnered with six churches, hosted trainings, and strengthened local connections to better support families in crisis.

July 2024: Playground & Track 

Having this area available for the families living in our 24/7 Emergency Shelter and The Village apartments, in addition to being able to offer a space for fitness and health education for the DCP Students, has provided a safe place for those we serve to exercise and improve their overall physical and mental health.

June 2024: Kitchen & Technology Center Updates
CICBVI has completed their projects and state, By being able to inform and teach these individuals that their life can be productive and enjoyable thanks to the advances made in technology – at ALL levels, not just electronically - we have seen people’s entire outlook change for the better.
