Yes, contributions are tax deductible. Impact Central Illinois is a non-profit organization exempt from federal taxes under U.S. Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
Each $1,100 donation provides membership for the current grant year, which is 7/1 - 6/30. Membership continues year-to-year as long as we receive your annual donation by 11/15 prior to the upcoming June grant awards.
There is no time commitment required for Impact Central Illinois. Our only requirements is a $1,100 donation. You have the option to serve on one of the committees however, it is not mandatory.
We grow by word of mouth! Thank you for telling other women who are fellow givers in our community about Impact Central Illinois. Our membership recruitment season is during the summer and fall, and we have many "Bring a Friends events" you can invite people to our help us at the event. $1,000 of every donation goes directly towards funding the annual grant. The remaining $100 goes towards administrative fees and other costs to run Impact Central Illinois.
We award the grants at our Annual Meeting in June of each year. Each member gets one vote.
We have many members who send checks from DAFs or IRAs or direct their banks to print and mail a check. Our mailing address is Impact Central Illinois PO Box 3222, Peoria, IL 61612. For DAFs, you may also need our Tax ID number (or EIN) 83-3096726. If possible, please direct them to add your name to a memo area on the check so we know the member it is from and who to thank!
Any 501(c)3 organization satisfying the grant guidelines and with a program within the scope of our funding guidelines may apply for funding to support social outreach and charitable service programs that benefit the community at large. Impact Central Illinois does not require the organization to refrain from incorporating its foundational ideology of justice and charity in its program methodology, activities, or facilities which serve the community at large. However, as a collective giving organization, Impact Central Illinois reserves the right to determine the finalists and grant recipients based upon full disclosure of that ideology.
Text Message (SMS) Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the text message (SMS) notification program operated by Impact Central Illinois ("ICI," "we," "us," or "our"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the Greater Peoria region of central Illinois. By providing your mobile number and consenting to receive text messages from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Program Description
Impact Central Illinois uses text messaging for a limited purpose: to notify existing members that an email communication from our organization is waiting in their inbox or te remind existing members of upcoming events. Our messages are informational only. They contain no marketing content, no promotional offers, and no third-party or advertising content. Every message identifies Impact Central Illinois as the sender.
2. Message Frequency
Messages are sent approximately twice per month. In rare cases involving a time-sensitive organizational announcement, an additional message may be sent, but our normal and expected cadence is twice monthly.
3. Consent to Receive Messages
Members provide their mobile number and consent to receive text messages when they join or renew their membership with ICI. By opting in, you confirm that:
- You are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number you provided
- You are at least 18 years of age, or have permission from the account holder
- You agree to receive automated text messages from ICI at that number
Consent is optional. Agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of membership, participation in any ICI program or event, or any purchase or donation.
If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, please update your member profile or contact us so we do not send messages to a number you no longer control.
4. How to Opt Out
You may stop receiving text messages from Impact Central Illinois at any time. Reply STOP or uncheck the text message indicator in your member profile to stop receiving messages.
After you reply STOP, you will receive one confirmation message acknowledging your request, and we will send no further text messages to that number. Opting out of text messages does not remove you from our email list or affect your membership.
5. How to Opt Back In
To resume text messages, reply START to our messaging number or re-check the text message indicator in your member profile.

7. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Impact Central Illinois does not charge a fee for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply based on your plan. Questions about charges on your bill should be directed to your wireless carrier.
8. Supported Carriers and Delivery
Our messaging program is supported by major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on factors outside our control, including carrier availability, network conditions, and your device settings, and is not guaranteed. Supported carriers may change without notice.
9. Privacy
Information collected in connection with our text messaging program is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.impactcentralillinois.org.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except for the messaging service providers and subcontractors we use strictly to deliver our own messages to you.
10. Eligibility
Our text messaging program is available to ICI members with a mobile number capable of receiving SMS messages from U.S. wireless carriers. The program is not directed to individuals under 13 years of age.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued participation in the text messaging program after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Our text messaging program is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Impact Central Illinois is not liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from your participation in the program, including any failure, delay, misdelivery, or non-delivery of messages, or any charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate our membership program and communicate with our members:
Contact information — name, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number- Membership information — membership status, renewal dates, dues payment records, and communication preferences (including whether you have elected to receive text messages)
- Voluntary information — information you choose to provide when you contact us, attend an event, or participate in an ICI program
- Website information — standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected through our website and membership platform
We do not collect or store payment card numbers on our own systems. Dues and donation payments are processed by third-party payment processors under their own privacy and security policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Administer memberships, process dues, and manage renewals
- Send organizational updates, announcements, and program information
- Notify members by text message that an email communication from ICI is waiting in their inbox
- Respond to questions and requests
- Maintain the records required for nonprofit governance, financial accounting, and compliance
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

You may resume messages at any time by replying START or by re-checking the text message indicator in your member profile.

Mobile Information and Third Parties
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All information sharing described in this Privacy Policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, except for the messaging service providers and subcontractors we use strictly to deliver our own messages to you.
Costs

How We Share Information
We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use vendors to operate our membership management system, deliver email and text messages, host our website, and process payments. These providers may access your information only as needed to perform services for us and are obligated to protect it.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ICI, our members, or others.
- Organizational changes. If ICI merges with, is acquired by, or transfers its programs to another organization, member information may transfer as part of that change, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not share your information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention and Security
We retain member information for as long as your membership is active and thereafter as needed for recordkeeping, financial accounting, and legal compliance. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
You may:
- Update your information by logging into your member profile or contacting us
- Change your communication preferences, including text message and email settings, in your member profile
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link at the bottom of any email message
- Stop text messages by replying STOP or unchecking the text message indicator in your member profile
- Request access to or deletion of your information by contacting us using the information above
Children's Privacy
Our website and membership program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
Cookies and Website Analytics
Our website and membership platform may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect site functionality.
